Our history

2021

After almost 30 years, Peter vom Baur is handing over the management to Andreas Kielholz (r.). From now on, he will lead vombaur GmbH & Co. KG as managing director – together with his son Patrick Kielholz (l.), who is part of the management as COO. As a subsidiary of the Textation Group – with Peter vom Baur and Andreas Kielholz as the main shareholders – vombaur retains its structure as a family-run company.

JUMBO-Textil und vombaur Textation Group

Under the roof of the newly founded holding company, the Textation Group, we and the elastics specialist JUMBO-Textil are combining our expertise in technical narrow textiles. But we are remaining independent as companies and brands.

Peter vom Baur becomes managing director of J. H. vom Baur Sohn GmbH & Co. KG. Narrow textiles made of high-performance fibres and tailor-made individual solutions for industrial customers become the core brand of the company.

vombaur in Wuppertal-Ronsdorf

Technical textiles for industrial become increasingly important. Hatband sales drop. The new Managing Director, Viktor vom Baur, extends the machine farm in Ronsdorf adding modern needle looms.

The factory building – completely destroyed in a bombing raid in 1943 – has been rebuilt. Johann Heinrich vom Baur Sohn exports its creative silk and decorative ribbon collections all over the world.
